Clients want the “perfect” job, but the truth is, there is never a “perfect” situation at work, home or in any relationship we encounter. There will always be struggle; there will always be good days and bad, there will always be crappy co-workers and lousy bosses. And each of those imperfections will be a teaching and an opportunity for growth.

There is a buddhist philosophy that says for every one situation there are infinite possibilities. Our struggle comes from holding onto the one outcome we think we want.

So, what are your infinite possibilities in your current situation? What is the outcome you could let go of and what is a new outcome you could welcome?
Write down as many infinite possibilities you can imagine to start shaking up your thinking. Get clear on what is acceptable and unacceptable. Where can you be more flexible and where do you need to draw the line?

In the words of Dorothy from Nemo, “Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.”
