The STEPS Career System Is The Answer

Here’s how the STEPS process works: Sherry is by your side through this entire process. We meet either face-to-face or through video conferencing. This is a collaborative effort between the two of us. Each meeting we will cover a section of the STEPS process followed by a homework assignment that moves you along throughout the process.

STEP 1: S- Skills:

True job security is possible when you understand yourself not as a “job title” but rather as a functional skill base that can ebb and flow with supply and demand. The “Skills” exercise is designed to take a full and complete inventory of the skills you have acquired throughout your lifetime.

STEP 2: T- Themes:

This simple exercise reveals your primary interests and desires. To find true career success, your themes should be prevalent in all aspects of your life, especially your work.

STEP 3: E- Experience:

What is the experience you want to have at work? How do you want work to feel? Are you an introvert who requires private time? An extrovert that wants to be surrounded by people? Are offices claustrophobic and cubicles freeing? The answers to these questions helps to  clarify your next employer, industry and position.

STEP 4: P- Parameters:

These are the practicalities of life. Money, commute, family, health, all need to be part of the equation in order to have work-life harmony

STEP 5: S-Service:
